Terra Losa is one of the newer neighborhoods in Edmonton, Canada. It has a combination of residential and commercial areas, including several schools, parks, shopping centers and hospitals. The residential areas were built between 1991 and 2001 but remodeling and new construction continues through today.
The majority of the housing areas are condo complexes with about three out of every four people who reside in Terra Losa living in apartments. Along with the apartment complexes there are also condominiums. Most of the condominiums and apartment buildings are low rise complexes. The tallest are five stories high and include balconies along with park like communal areas. Many people purchase the condominiums then rent them out to others to occupy.
Terra Losa also offers residents single family homes, row houses and duplexes as alternatives to the condominiums and apartments. These types of homes however only make up about 19% of the total dwelling available for residents. The row houses tend to be popular with many residents and offer a quaint atmosphere and city type dwelling.
Most people enjoy the quiet neighborhoods and parks throughout the city. There are also several restaurants and hotels in the area, along with local businesses. Residents enjoy the attractions and the quiet lifestyle. This unique community offers parks and a family atmosphere in which to raise a family. There are local natural areas in which to explore, go hiking, walking or cycling. The area is full of ravines and natural sites that will provide hours of entertainment for residents.
