The Steinhauer neighborhood is a collection of historic homes and residences in the Southwest part of Edmonton. The neighborhood offers an eclectic mix of architectural styles and an equally interesting mix of residents—married, partnered, single, families with children of all ages, students, professionals, and people from all walks of life representing a wide variety of ethnic and social backgrounds.
The neighborhood is bounded on the by 111 Street, and by Calgary Trail, on the north by 34 Avenue.
The Steinhauer Association serves as a liaison for neighborhood interests with city government and nearby schools and businesses. They work with other neighborhood associations on common concerns. They facilitate neighbors' involvement in all issues that affect the neighborhood, including quality of life, property values; land use, safety, zoning changes, traffic patterns, and streets modifications.
The Association also sponsors neighborhood activities, such as our annual picnic, to help neighbors create friendships and a sense of belonging.
