The residential neighborhood of Sherbrooke is located in Northwest Edmonton, Alberta. Most of the residential development of Sherbrooke took place between 1946 and 1960 making up 2/3 of the total homes in this neighborhood.The remaining residences were constructed in the 1960s making up about 15% of the total homes, and after 1970 about 13% of the residences were constructed. The remaining homes were constructed before the end of World War II.
The majority of the residences are single family homes. These account for three of every four residences in the neighborhood. The remaining homes include row houses and apartment buildings.
The designated schools for this neighborhood include Prince Charles Elementary, Westmount Junior High and Ross Sheppard Senior High School. These are all run by the Edmonton Public School System. St. Pius X Catholic Elementary School is also in this neighborhood and is run by the Edmonton Catholic School System.
There is a local shopping center, Kingsway Mall that is accessible by traveling east on Kingsway Avenue. This avenue also provides access to the Royal Alexandra Hospital and leads to the downtown core where residents have access to shopping and other services
