The neighborhood of Satoo is located in Southeast Edmonton. It is one of eight communities in an area known as Mill Woods. Satoo is a neighborhood in the community of Knottwood. The other two neighborhoods in Knottwood include Menisa and Ekota. Satoo received its name from a Cree chief who lived on the Papachase Indian Reservation, formerly located in the Mill Woods area, between 1876 and 1891.

Satoo is surrounded by 23 Avenue to the North, Anthony Henday Drive to the South, 91 Street to the West, and 80 Street and Mill Woods Roads West to the East.

Most of the residences in this neighborhood were constructed during the 1970s. Three out of four residences are single family homes with the remaining homes being row houses or duplexes. Renters reside in one out of every five homes while the remaining are owner occupied.

This neighborhood attracts younger families with an average age of residents being under 20. Only one in ten residents are over the age of 65 and most households contain an average of 3 people.
