Rapperswill is a small neighbourhood located in the northern section of the Castledowns community in the north-western quadrant of Edmonton. It was officially adopted into the community in 2010. Like many of the neighbourhoods that make up Castledowns, Rapperswill is named after a European castle, Switzerland's "Rapperswil Castle." The majority of the neighbourhood consists of detached homes, ideally suited for families.

Many of the facilities surrounding Rapperswill are relatively new installations, with some being as young as the neighbourhood itself.
