Named after an early settlers namesake, Reverend William Newton and located in Northeast Edmonton Alberta Canada, is the residential neighborhood of Newton. Reverend Newton first settled in Edmonton in 1875. The majority of the homes in Newton were constructed at the end of WWII, which makes parts of Newton a somewhat older neighborhood. Other portions of the neighborhood are newer as construction continued through the 1990's
