Named after Robert Lendrum, an early land surveyor, Lendrum Place is a residential neighbourhood located in Southwest Edmonton, Alberta. Lendrum Place is a somewhat older neighbourhood with a majority of the construction occurring in the 1960's and a few homes built from 1970-1985.
Statistics show that a majority of the homes in Lendrum Place are single family homes, and only about 23% are apartments in low rise apartment buildings.
Most of the homes in Lendrum Place are owner occupied, while only approximately 27% are rented by tenants. New people are moving into Lendrum place every day, and The neighbourhood has gained popularity due to the conveniences the neighbourhood provides.
Designated schools for Lendrum place are: Lendrum Elementary, Avalon Junior High, and Strathcona Senior High.
Shopping and dining are a "stones throw away" for the residents of Lendrum Place, with a strip shopping centre on the east edge of the neighbourhood. For larger scale shopping Southgate Centre, one of Edmontons major malls is located south east in Empire Park.
