The houses which are situated on the north side of Lansdowne sits in the back of the University of Alberta farmland along a straight line boundary located just north of 52nd Avenue and the house on the west side are overlooking the amazing Whitemud Creek Ravine. The southern boundary is where Whitemud Drive travels and you can find 122nd Street on the east boundary of the neighborhood.

The average size of a household in Lansdowne is 2.3 people, with basically two out of every three households housing 1 or 2 people. There’s only one in every four households that has 4 or 5 people.

Based upon the 2001 federal census, nearly nine out of every ten residences was built during 60’s and 70’s. The single family dwelling is the most common type of residence in the neighborhood and they make up roughly 64% of all residences residing in the neighborhood. The remaining of the neighborhood consists of apartments in low and high rise buildings (. The single family dwellings are usually owned while the apartments are primarily for renting. Generally, the homes that were closer to the Whitemud Creek Ravine were the most expensive while those homes which were near Whitemud Drive were cheaper.
