Lago Lindo is a residential neighbourhood in the North of Edmonton, Alberta. This area contains two lakes which were named in reminiscence of Spanish communities and the name ‘Lago Lindo’ means pretty lake.
This area is bounded on the west by 97 Street and on the east by 91 Street. The south side is bounded by 167 Avenue. The northern part of this area is as yet undeveloped. This area is perfect for access to Canadian Forces Base Edmonton which can be easily reached along 97 Street. This Street also gives access to the Downtown core, which contains the Arts District, Churchill Square and Edmonton City Centre as well as the Government Centre.
Practically all the housing in the area consists of single family dwellings and a lot of these are owner occupied. Most of these properties were built during the 1980s.
There are two elementary schools in the areas. These are Lago Lindo Elementary and Bishop Greschuk Catholic Elementary. Dickinsfield is the designated Junior High and Queen Elizabeth is the designated Senior High.
