Named after an early pioneer farmer, and located in Northeast Edmonton Alberta, Canada, is the residential neighborhood of Kernohan. The southern part of the neighborhood overlooks Kennedal Ravine, and to the west is Victoria Trail. But for true adventure seekers, to the east is the North Saskatchewan River valley.
Most of the homes in Kernohan are single family style homes, and there are also row houses, duplexes, condos, and apartments in the neighborhood as well.
Construction in Kernohan began in the 1960's and continued all the way through the 90's, so there are newer and older style homes. 90% of the neighborhood is owner occupied with only a few other homes currently rented to tenants.
Designated schools for Kernohan are: Belmont Elementary, Steele Junior High, and Eastglen, and M E LaZerte Senior High.
