Located in North West Edmonton Alberta, Canada is the residential neighborhood of Kensington. This is an older neighborhood with a lot of history. Originally annexed in 1913, and construction began in Kensington just prior to the end of WWII. Construction halted for a long time and resumed in the 1990's.
The majority of the homes in Kensington are single family dwellings accounting for roughly 60%, while the remainder of the properties being apartments, condos, duplexes, and row houses.
Most of the homes here are owner occupied, except for the apartments which are typically rentals. There was a sharp increase in popularity from 1996-2000 and several more homes were constructed. For this reason there are several new and older style homes, with something to please everyone.
