Keheewin is situated in the south-west of Edmonton, Alberta in Canada. In Cree language the meaning of the name Keheewin is “Eagle”. The neighborhood of the Keheewin is bounded with 111 Street on the west, Calgary Trail/Gateway Boulevard on the east and 23 Avenue on the north. The south boundary of the Keheewin is situated roughly half a block south of 18 Avenues. Calgary Trail is the important city here, which also provides access to the most important destinations including the Edmonton International airport. Additionally, one can get access to the University of Alberta, the Downtown core and Old Strathcona via Gateway Boulevard.
Keheewin Elementary School is one of the very famous schools in the neighborhood of Keheewin. The Keheewin Elementary School is operated by Edmonton Public School System. Residents of Keheewin have access to basic living amenities like shopping and health facilities. Most of the services are located in South Edmonton Common, which is in the east of the neighborhood. >/p>
After the completion of ongoing construction in 2010, the neighborhood of Keheewin will be served by Century Park LRT. The station of the century Park LRT is also under construction now. The station is located to the north of the neighborhood along with 111Street. Nowadays, the real estate market in Keheewin is on the boom.
