One of west Edmonton’s smaller neighborhoods, Jasper Park is like an oasis in a desert. The neighborhood is bounded by 92 Avenue on the north, 156 Street on the west, 87 Avenue to the south and 149 Street to the east. Jasper Park was once a part of the Town of Jasper Place. It was a part of the amalgamation agreement when Jasper Place and Edmonton joined in August 1964.
Whilst there are no schools located within this quiet neighborhood there are several located in the neighboring ones. The Meadowlark Elementary School located in Meadowlark Park to the east, Laurier Heights Elementary Junior High School located south east in Laurier Heights, Parkview Elementary Junior High School and St. Rose Junior High School located in Parkview to the east and Sherwood Elementary School located in Sherwood to the North.
Residents have excellent access to shopping. Not only are there two strip shopping centers in the neighborhood, Meadowlark Health and Shopping Centre is located immediately to the west in the neighborhood of Meadowlark Park. A little farther west is West Edmonton Mall. The Jasper Place branch of the Edmonton Public Library is located close to the Meadowlark Health and Shopping Centre as is a fire station. The Edmonton Transit System's Meadowlark Transit Centre is located on the north side of the shopping centre.
The neighborhood is surrounded by the residential neighborhoods of Laurier Heights, Lynnwood, Meadowlark Park, Parkview, and Sherwood.
