Located in Western Edmonton, Alberta, Canada is the scenic residential neighborhood of Aldergrove. This primarily family –oriented neighborhood is bordered on the north by 87 Avenue, on the east by 178 Street, on the south by Whitemud Drive and on the west by Anthony Henday Drive.
The neighbourhoood is surrounded by residential neighborhoods; Suder Greens, Belmead, and Summerlea to the North, Potter Greens to the West, Thorncliffe to the East and Glastonbury, Lymburn and Callingwood North to the South. Over half of the residences of Aldergrove were built during the 1970s. a large portion of the remainder was built in the 1980s thus by the 1990s the neighborhood was almost complete.
Neighboring communities provide other educational choices such as Belmead Elementary School and St Benedict Catholic Elementary School in Belmead, Thorncliffe Community School, St. Justin Elementary School and First Start Outreach High School located in Thorncliffe, Sylvan Learning Centre West, Our Lady of the Prairies Catholic Elementary School , Talmud Torah Elementary Junior High School in Callingwood and Lymburn Elementary School and St. Martha Catholic Elementary School in Lymburn.
Indulge in one of the largest shopping malls in North America, the West Edmonton Mall, which is located just to the north east of the neighborhood in Summerlea. The Anthony Henday provides access to destinations to the south of the city including the Edmonton International Airport. Whilst Whitemud Drive provides access to destinations on the south side, including: the University of Alberta, Old Strathcona, Southgate Centre and South Edmonton Common.
