Evansdale is the north half of the Dickinsfield neighborhood. This area has strong roots to family and many of the places in the area are named after an aviator, Clennell Haggerston “Punch” Dickins. The neighborhood of Evansdale itself is named after Harry Marshall Erskine Evans, who was the mayor of Edmonton from 1918-1919.
