Rutherford is a newer neighborhood in Southwest Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is bounded on the west by 127 Street, on the east by James Mowat Trail, also known as 111 Street, on the north by Ellerslie Road, and on the south by Blackmud Creek Ravine and a line connecting the ravine to 127 Street about 25 Avenue SW.
The neighborhood is adjacent to other new development neighborhoods such as Callaghan, Allard. In addition to being a newer neighborhood it is also a younger neighborhood than the rest of those located in south Edmonton are typically. The primary residents of the neighborhood range 24-44 years of age.
According to past municipal census, approximately 85% of the residences in the neighborhood are single family dwellings. The remainder are mostly duplexes with a small number of row houses. The majority of residences are owner occupied with only about 1 out of 20 rented.
