Getting Around Edmonton

The Anthony Henday is a newly constructed ring road of Metro Edmonton. The freeway stretches to all four quadrants of the city. Other major roads include Groat Road, Mark Messier/St. Albert Trail, The Sherwood Park Freeway, Stony Plain Road, Yellowhead Trail and The Wayne Gretzky Drive.

Edmonton has a safe, efficient and inexpensive public transportation system. The ETS offers hundreds of different bus routes to cover the city. During peak hours, buses run as frequently as every 15 minutes. Outside of peak, the frequency drops to every 30 minutes

Edmonton Schools

The city of Edmonton consists of six major post-secondary institutions; The University of Alberta, Grant MacEwan University, NAIT, Concordia College, Norquest College and Kings College. Edmonton’s K-12 schools are world renown. It includes a catholic system, a public system, charted schools, private schools and a great French immersion system.

Edmonton’s Weather

Edmonton's climate is somewhat moderate. It offers four seasons; winter, spring, summer and fall. Edmonton has cold winters and warm dry summers. There is low humidity, low winds and rain, making the summers really nice.
