MacEwan is a residential neighbourhood located in Southwest Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. More then half of the homes located in MacEwan are single family homes. The neighbourhood was named for Grant MacEwan, whom also has a University named after him, the Grant MacEwan University.
While a majority of the homes in MacEwan are single family dwellings there are also condos, duplexes and rented apartments as well.
Most of the homes in MacEwan are owner occupied (roughly 83%), while of course the apartments and a few of the condos account for the rentals in the neighbourhood.
Bordering neighbourhoods are as follows; Rutherford, Richford, and Blackburne.
Designated schools for MacEwan are:Duggan Elementary, D S MacKenzie Junior High, and Harry Ainlay Senior High.
MacEwan is close by for everything, from Ellerslie Rugby Park to the lake in Twin Brooks neighbourhood just west of MacEwan. South Edmonton Common is very convenient to MacEwan as well, if shopping is on the agenda.
