Nearby schools to Edmonton homes for sale include Rutherford Elementary School, Maurice- Lavallée, and École Gabrielle-Roy. The only Francophone University west of Manitoba, the University of Alberta’s Faculté Saint-Jean, is in the community of Bonnie Doon.

A very popular shopping mall is the Bonnie Doon Shopping center, which also happens to be one of Edmonton’s first shopping malls and is an added value when looking at Edmonton houses.  Another attraction when looking at Edmonton homes is the Campus Saint Jean, a part of the University of Alberta.  It's known for its cultural events, athletics and dance classes.
