Beacon Heights is a residential neighbourhood in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada that was part of the Town of Beverly before Beverly Heights amalgamated with Edmonton in 1961. The Town of Beverly, which beacon heights was part of before the merger with Edmonton, was a coal mining town with over twenty mines operating in the area during the town's history. The following major mine was active in the area of Beacon Heights. This is the basis of the working class history Beacon has had over the years. The neighbourhood is bounded on the south by 118 Avenue, on the west by 50 Street, on the north by 122 Avenue, and on the east by 34 Street.

Jubilee Park is located in Beacon Heights. Jubilee Park is located on the site of the Beverly Coal Mine entrance, and was developed in 1955 as an Alberta Jubilee project. There are future plans to expand the area to include walking gardens as well as expanding the park area itself to give resident more to enjoy in the lost treasure of Edmonton.
The earliest development in the neighbourhood occurred around 1910, several years before Beverly was incorporated as a town. When the Merger of Edmonton and Beverly occurred this area was named Beacon Heights, and developed a primarily blue collar demographic due to the number of coal minors who were living in the neighbourhood. According to the City of Edmonton's neighborhood profile for Beacon Heights, one in ten of the residences in the neighbourhood were built by the end of World War II, with half the dwellings being built before Beverly's amalgamation.
Three out of four residences are single family dwellings, with most of the remainder being split almost equally between apartments in low rise buildings and duplexes. Roughly 85% of the single family dwellings are owner occupied, as are one in four of the duplexes. The remainder are rented.
Beacon Heights still retains the blue collar feel of days gone by. The residents of the area are very stable and down to earth. They are proud of their properties which keep values high and are welcoming of newcomers who share the same mentality. It is therefore that the area continues to see growth that has the neighborhood expanding yearly and future projections have Beacon Heights as being one of the largest neighborhoods in the area within the next five to ten years.
