Bannerman is a residential neighbourhood in the Clareview area of north east Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is named after H. Bannerman, who settled in the Belmont area in 1883. The neighbourhood is bounded on the west by Victoria Trail, on the north by 144 Avenue, and on the south by 137 Avenue. To the east, the neighbourhood overlooks the North Saskatchewan River valley. The Clareview LRT station is located a short distance to the west of the neighbourhood along 137 Avenue. There is a single school in the neighbourhood, Bannerman Elementary Junior High School, operated by the Edmonton Public School System.

The most common types of residence in the neighbourhood, are the single-family detached home and the row house. Single family dwellings account for just under half (46%) and row houses account for just over one third. Most of the remaining residences are rented apartments in low rise buildings with fewer than five stories. There are also a few duplexes in the neighbourhood. Just under three out of every four of all residences are owner occupied with the remaining one in four being rented. Most of the area construction took place during the 1970's, with small developments bursts during the 1980's.
The two reasons the people are beginning to find their way to Bannerman is because of the recent report that was released that stated that Bannerman was considered to be one of the safest areas in the greater Edmonton area. The neighborhood over the last five years has seen a constant drop in the number of crimes committed in the neighborhood. These findings are what have a lot of people giving a second look to the neighborhood and are considering moving there.
As mentioned earlier the area is also home to one school that is operated by the Edmonton Public School System. This oversight has allowed for the school to be in a capacity to compete academically with some of the other larger schools that are under the same umbrella. This has also allowed the school to be recognized for it several achievements that they have gained over the last several years.
